Ronaldo has won the champions League twice in his career

The Portuguese press highlighted on Thursday that Real Madrid's qualification for the Champions League final in Milan will put star forward Cristiano Ronaldo equal to the record of late Portuguese soccer legend Eusebio, who played in four finals of the tournament.

"He equals Eusebio: Ronaldo in his fourth final", is the headline on Thursday of the Portuguese newspaper Record, referring to the achievement which the newspaper A Bola also mentioned on its front page.

However, the Black Panther, as Eusebio is lovingly called, only managed to gain the European title -- then called the European Cup -- once, in the 1961-1962 season, because he lost the other three finals with his club Benfica, reports Efe.

In contrast, Ronaldo holds two Champions League titles (one with Manchester United and one with Real Madrid) and lost the final that pitted the English club against Barcelona in the 2008-2009 season.

Ronaldo, 31, will have another opportunity on May 28 against Atletico Madrid to equal the record of Eusebio, who died in 2014 and with whom Ronaldo competes to be considered the best Portuguese footballer in history.
