Fans of Cristiano Ronaldo may just be the happiest people in the world right now, following Real Madrid’s 3-0 loss to Barcelona yesterday. Los Blancos were booted out of the Copa del Rey after succumbing to their bitter rivals at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Having drawn 1-1 in the first leg at the Camp Nou, Santiago Solari’s side was confident of reaching the final. However, Barca’s impressive run at the Bernabeu rather continued as they sealed a sixth consecutive final berth in the Copa del Rey.

Following a goalless first half, the game finally sprung into life in the second half, when Luis Suarez opened the scoring in the 50th minute. The Uruguay international finished off a brilliant move after being set up by Ousmane Dembele.

The Catalan club doubled their lead in the 69th minute after Madrid defender Raphael Verane scored an own goal. The French centreback attempted a clearance but rather deflected the ball into his own net.

Four minutes later, Suarez netted his second goal of the night to put Barcelona 3-0 ahead. Despite a late fightback from Madrid, there was very little they could do to change the result.

The 3-0 drubbing comes after Barca thumped Real Madrid 5-1 earlier in the league, and the result seems to have excited most Cristiano Ronaldo fans. It will be recalled that most Madrid fans trolled the Portuguese star when Juventus lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last week.

Therefore, following Madrid’s latest loss to Barca, most Ronaldo fans took the opportunity to strike back. Twitter has been buzzing with memes and trolls ever since Los Blancos were sent packing from the Copa del Rey.

Without much ado, let’s take a look at some of the brutal trolls unleashed on Real Madrid by Ronaldo fans following the club’s loss to Barca:
