Video: Cristiano Ronaldo performs a perfect slam dunk in this training session
The Real Madrid superstar seems to be quite at ease on the basketball court as well.
It’s always great to see professional athletes try out some sport other than their own just for fun. Sometimes they tend to surprise us with skills that we didn’t know they possessed.
In this video, we can see the top guys from the Spanish giant Real Madrid playing basketball in a practice session. Surprisingly enough, they all seem to possess the sets of skills we tend to take for granted in professional basketball players.
It’s quite amusing and refreshing to see the likes of Marcelo and Isco taking this training session so seriously. Their behaviour seems to have remained unchanged from their behaviour on the football pitch. There is always a professional approach at Santiago Bernabeu, be it during a real match or a fitness training session.
The Portuguese superstar in action
As always, any report on Real Madrid is incomplete without the mention of the name Cristiano Ronaldo.
The in-form striker, who has already scored 30 goals this season in 28 appearances for his club, seems to be quite at ease on the basketball court. Being an extremely fit athlete, almost all sports seem to be very easy to him.
Also, it must be mentioned that Marcelo’s pass in the video reminds us of his incredibly accurate passing around the box. Often times we have seen such passes making their way to Cristiano, resulting in a typical CR7 celebration moment.
Ronaldo has scored 19 goals in the Spanish League this season in 22 matches. He has also assisted with seven goals this season. Although Real Madrid have bowed out of the Copa del Rey and are presently holding the third spot in the league table, Ronaldo seems to be enjoying his career.
It is worth mentioning that Madrid is one of the favourites to win the Champions League title this season, where Ronaldo has scored eleven times in just six games and also has assisted with three goals for his team mates.
If he continues to perform the same way on the football pitch and in training sessions, his fans might get to enjoy several more years of this incredible career.
