What are the records that are currently being held by Cristiano Ronaldo? He is arguably one of the best players the world has ever seen. 1. When Cristiano Ronaldo moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid for 80 million pounds, he became the most expensive player in history. He held on to that title till 2013 when Real Madrid broke that record to buy Gareth Bale

3. He is the only footballer to have won the European Golden Shoe in two different leagues: English Premier League and Spanish La Liga.

11. The same season he also had the record for most goals scored in a single La Liga season: 46 goals as well as the most goals scored in a single UEFA Champions League season: 14 goals.

12. He also holds the record for the most hat-tricks in a single season with 7 hat-tricksin the 2011-12 season.

13. He is the first footballer ever to score against every team in a single season in La Liga (shared with Lionel Messi, who scored consecutively against every team).

14. He is also the fastest La Liga player to score 150 league goals.

15. He is also the first player to score 30 or more league goals in four consecutive seasons as well as being the fastest player to reach 50 league goals.

16. In 2014, he became the first ever player in history to score more than 10 goals for 3 consecutive Champions League campaigns.

17. On April 29th, 2014 he broke Lionel Messi’s all time record for the most goals in a champions league season. The former Manchester United superstar scored in the 33rd minute against Bayern Munich to make it a record 15 Champions League goals in a season.

These records combined with his ability to terrorise defences all over the world has made this 29 year old one of the most brilliant players the footballing world has ever produced. This was recognized in 2014 as he was awarded the Ballon D’Or for the second time after a gap of 5 years. He would be remembered for many decades for his ability, records and his intense rivalry with Lionel Messi for the title of the World’s Best Player.
