According to Dailymail, Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit for the World Cup play-off against Sweden in the weekend despite missing training on Tuesday.

The Real Madrid star was reportedly taking some time off to stay fresh and is certain to start against Sweden, who is led by Zlatan Ibrahamovic.

“It was just a precautionary measure that he rested for a couple of days after picking up a slight knock with Real Madrid. He will be eased back in, as the squad step up their preparations, and he will be in the starting line-up. There is nothing more certain,” a source close to the Portuguese camp told Dailymail.

Ronaldo has been in blistering form this season with 27 goals from just 17 games for his club and country.
