28-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo will retire at Real Madrid, according to club president Florentino Perez.

“You can be absolutely certain that Cristiano Ronald0 will retire at Real Madrid.”

“Ronaldo wants to retire at Madrid, and we want him to retire here, just like Zidane and so many other great players did.”

Perez believes that Ronaldo will stay beyond his contract which ends in 2015. He has been heavily linked with a move to former club Manchester United but recently squashed all rumours saying he is happy in Madrid.

Ronaldo has scored 201 goals in 199 appearances for the Spanish club. In his four years at the club, he has led them to the La Liga in 2012, Super Copa de España in 2012 and Copa Del Rey in 2011.

Perez also said that he hasn’t received any offer for Higuain, ending all the speculation.

“We don’t want Higuain to leave.”

“No one from Arsenal has come to us and made any offers at all for him.”

He also added that they had not made any offer for Welshman Gareth Bale.
