Cristiano Ronaldo worth a minimum of £300 million, says agent Jorge Mendes

Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player ever, says agent Jorge Mendes

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has reiterated that the Portuguese superstar will finish his career at Real Madrid, and if the club do want to sell him, it would cost a minimum of £300 million to get his signature.

Mendes also indicated that Ronaldo was the “best sportsman ever”, saying, "He is the best player ever in the world. You can't compare him with anybody else,” in an exclusive interview with the BBC.

When asked how much the three-time Ballon d’Or winner was worth, his agent replied, “Cristiano Ronaldo? One billion. His buyout clause one billion, so it is one billion. It is impossible to buy someone like him. If for any reason the club decide to sell him tomorrow for 300 million, someone will pay."

The Portuguese super-agent also spoke about where Ronaldo’s future possibly lay, indicating that though the Real Madrid superstar “loves the Manchester United fans, he will stay in the Spanish capital for the rest of his career. Mendes said, "For sure. He will not leave Real Madrid," he added.

Mendes also spoke about the game of football, calling it the "most important sport in the world", and leapt to the defence of players earning a lot as wages, saying, they "deserve the maximum possible".

Apart from Ronaldo, the former DJ and nightclub owner also represents other prime footballers such as Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, David de Gea, James Rodriguez and managers such as Jose Mourinho and Luiz Felipe Scolari.
