Cuba host Trinidad and Tobago at the Estadio Antonio Maceo in Santiago de Cuba on Thursday in the 2024-25 CONCACAF Nations League. Both sides are looking to pick up their first win of the campaign.
With two points in two games, the Lions of the Caribbean are currently in fourth position in Group B. They drew 0-0 with Jamaica before being pegged back to a 1-1 draw with Nicaragua, who scored in the 97th minute of their clash.
As only two more games remain, Yunielys Castillo's side can ill afford to drop more points in the race for the quarter-finals. The head coach has called up 23 players for this month's double-header against Trinidad and Tobago, including Norwich City forward Onel Hernandez.
Guantanamo goalkeeper Yurdy Hodelin, La Habana midfielder Michael Camejo and Villa Clara forward Aniel Casanova are the only three players uncapped in the squad.
On the other hand, the Soca Warriors are rock-bottom with just one point in the bag. That came courtesy of a 0-0 draw with French Guiana on matchday two, having lost 4-0 to Honduras earlier.
Head coach Derek King has summoned 23 players for this month's double-header against Honduras and French Guiana, including rising star Nathaniel James, who has struck thrice in nine games.
