Moscow - David Bentley picked up an ankle injury in a goalless draw with Lokomotiv Moscow, his club FC Rostov said on Monday.

The Englishman, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, played 83 minutes in the Russian capital Sunday, a game that saw an old ankle injury flare up again causing him to miss training on Monday.

Bentley, 28, has played five games since his shock move to the minnows in southern Russia, and is yet to score.

Rostov beat Dynamo Moscow 1-0 on its debut, but then lost the next three games straight.

The club is fourth from bottom of the league in 13th place on 10 points.
