Video: David Moyes tells opponent coach to calm down on La Liga debut

Real Sociedad manager David Moyes

David Moyes marked his return to the sidelines as manager of Real Sociedad in La Liga as his side played out a stalemate against Deportivo La Coruna away from home.

The Scott, who was let go by Manchester United last season, took over the managerial responsibilities from the recently sacked Jagoba Arrasate, and secured a draw on his debut in Spain. The result puts Sociedad at 14th place with the Basques accumulating a total of 10 points from 12 games.

However, Moyes’ adventure in Spain began in a heated manner after the Deportivo manager Victor Fernandez lost his cool over the Scott’s gestures. Moyes asked Fernandez to calm down after an offside decision went against his team and that seemed to have infuriated Fernandez further.

The officials didn’t approve Moyes’ advice as the former Everton boss was sent to the stands. Sadly Lionel Messi’s record was the only thing that overshadowed his managerial debut.

Here is the video of the incident.
