Diego Maradona accused of a physical assault on a photographer

Maradona’s troubles with the media are never ceasing

The “Gente” magazine photographer Enrique Medina has registered a police complaint against Diego Maradona saying that he was physically assaulted by the player outside Maradona’s father’s house on Sunday night.

The 1986 FIFA World Cup winner and ex-Argentina national team coach has been implicated for kicking in the groin of the celebrity magazine photographer.

Medina was quoted saying Maradona ran at him “like he was taking a free-kick” and kicked him with all the force in the groin and upper leg area that he “doubled over in pain”, according to The Guardian.

Maradona’s troubles with the media are not new. In 1994, he fired an air gun at the reporters and earlier this year he stopped his car to throw rocks at camera men following him home.
