Dimitar Berbatov: One of the Best

I know what you are all thinking, what the hell is this guy on about? And the fact that I’m a 16 year old Australian probably doesnt help. But, hear me out.

Although I am a Liverpool fan and have a pure hatred for a majority of United players and tottenham football club in general, something about Dimitar Berbatov makes me unable to take my eyes off him when he plays. Whether it be his class, elegance or pure ability to create something out of nothing, he just leaves me amazed, I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Now before you start listing how I’m wrong and somehow throw in opinions on my mothers sexual ability like all my friends that I try to convert to the ‘Berba bandwagon’, I will acknowledge that yes he is not the most consistent player and at times even frustrates me, the most loyal of Dimitar fans, with his seemingly inability to care about how he plays. But besides from that he is an unbelievable passer, was second to Steven Gerrard in assists in the 08/09 season and 2010-2011 premier league golden boot winner (shared with Carlos Tevez). So I find it hard to believe that Sir Alex Ferguson struggles to play him, instead he plays that bald headed twat Rooney. I do understand that Rooney is a decent player, but if you remember back to last season when he was struggling for form, SAF continued to play him while Berbatov was scoring left, right and center to cover for Wayne and people still continued to criticize him. After all that, Dimitar still lacks game time this season even though he has scored the same amount of goals as Hernandez and Welbeck.

After spending most of my ten hour journey home writing this, I will live with the fact that it will still not change Berbatov’s playing time nor would it have changed your opinion of him, and like my friends you will continue to hate but Dimitar will remain, by far, my favourite player and I hope at least one person has agreed with my opinion.
