Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently spoke about the speculations surrounding the return of Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa to Bundesliga.

“We have worked with Marco Reus on being a ten, and we have Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Would then a third number ten make sense?” he was quoted on Der Westen,

Borussia Dortmund manager Jürgen Klopp has been employing Marco Reus as a number 10 along with new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan this season, and the possibility of Kagawa starting ahead of either of the two midfielders is out of the picture, given their respective performances.

The 25-year-old had joined English Premier League side Manchester United back in 2012, however, the Japanese has yet to cement his position in the starting eleven.

Kagawa has started 18 matches this season for the Red Devils and has only three assists to his name. On the other hand, Marco Reus has been Dortmund’s best player this season and has found the net 21 times and assisted 15 goals this season.
