Madrid, Jan 23 (IANS/EFE) Martin Odegaard, Spanish football giants Real Madrid's newest recruit, said he feels "no pressure" after joining the club from Norwegian outfit Stromsgodset.

"I don't feel pressure. Playing for Real Madrid is very different to playing for my previous team. I'll try to fully enjoy this dream. I've trained a lot. My father has been very important for me. Training with him is what has allowed me to make it here," the 16-year-old Norwegian player said.

Odegaard, who Thursday passed the team's requisite medical examination, will be able to train with both the first team and its B-squad, Real Madrid Castilla.

"The reason I chose Real Madrid is because this team has the best conditions, both in sporting terms to develop as a player, and off the field to develop as a person. It's the best option for me. For me, it's incredible. I'm ready for a team like this one," he added.

"I'm going to train with the first team and the second team. If Ancelotti wants to use me in the first team I'll be delighted and, if not, I'll also be delighted to be playing for Castilla," Odegaard said in statements published on Real Madrid website.

"It's a dream come true and being able to train at this club is very exciting. I'm really excited and I can't wait to get started," the young Norwegian talent noted.
