Hence without much ado, let's look at whats today's edition of transfer round-up has in store for us.
#4 Sunderland make a new offer for Will Grigg
According to the HITC Transfer News, Sunderland has made a new offer for Wigan Athletic striker, Will Grigg after an initial offer of £250,000 was turned down. The Northern Ireland International is reportedly frustrated with his lack of playing time at Wigan and wants a move to Sunderland this January.
Despite not getting enough chances, there is no doubt about the quality of the player. The 27-year-old is a proven goal scorer who netted in 19 times in the 2017-18 campaign and would surely add extra firepower for the Black Cats going forward.
#3 Bournemouth wants to sign Chris Mepham from Brentford
It's no mystery that Premier clubs often got linked to players from the Championship, with Chris Mepham from Brentford being the latest. According to reports, Bournemouth wants to sign the defender who also beckons interest from Southampton.
It's believed that Mepham is a long term target for Eddie Howe whose earlier bid of £10 million was rejected by Brentford. The Cherries would now have to shell out £15 million to ward off any interest from the Saints.
Chris is currently out with injuries, but that won't hinder Eddie Howe's pursuit for the defender who already has more appearances in the 2018-19 season and is crucial for Brentford in their bid to avoid relegation at the end of the campaign. He is regarded highly in the Championship with the potential of becoming a top defender in the Premier League as well.
