The Manchester United revolution continues with Jose Mourinho at the helm. Credit must go to Louis Van Gaal for stabilising the club after Ferguson's departure, an FA Cup, and preventing a downward spiral similar to what Liverpool faced in the early 90s.

Mourinho has brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly to change the face of the team from last season, and to stamp his authority. Ex-England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, who is all too familiar with Manchester United and the Premier League, is particularly impressed by manager Mourinho and star striker Ibrahimovic and says the duo are the recipe to deliver success

Manchester United have lacked the fear-factor after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, and teams now head to Old Trafford expecting to get a decent result.

"Mourinho has the reputation, similar to Zlatan, that when they go to a new club they normally win in the championship in the first year."

"So why not? Mourinho and Zlatan it could be enough to win the Premier League" said Eriksson, who now coaches Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.

Both of them bring the ego and the will to win, all carried over from their history of success.

Cantona’s sly dig at Ibra

Former United player Eric Cantona aimed a cheeky dig at Zlatan, telling him that he be the "prince" of the club while he would always remain the "king".

Zlatan replied in typical Zlatan fashion proclaiming himself the "God" of Old Trafford. Not that all this is unhealthy for the club; it shows that the man means business and he isn't here to waste time.

Mourinho and Zlatan could fill that void left by Ferguson and can bring back the quick, confident football the club was always known for. Their time together at Inter Milan, albeit just one season, brought the Serie A title back to the Nerazzurri after years without a major title. The case is the same with Manchester United current situation.

Zlatan inspires players around him

Eriksson also stated, "I am certain United will hope that is the case and if you buy a player like Zlatan you are getting someone who is capable of inspiring the players around him by the way he performs."

Yes, bringing in one of the world's best into the team will have nothing but a positive impact on the club. Marcus Rashford, tipped to be the next big thing in world football, could learn a thing or two from the Swede.

Confidence is something that has slipped for United since that title in the 2012-2013 season. Hopefully, Mourinho and Ibrahimovic could cure the post-Ferguson hangover.
