EPL: Arsenal's Mathieu Flamini suffers groin problem

Arsene Wenger confirms Flamini suffered a groin injury

Arsenal‘s defensive midfielder Mathieu Flamini has suffered a groin problem, confirmed manager Arsene Wenger. He was taken off as early as the 6th minute after he complained of pain. It is not yet known how long the Frenchman would be out.

Update: Flamini will miss up to 3 weeks of action following a hamstring injury.

Arsene was also critical of the referee for showing the red card to Mikel Arteta, saying it was a wrong decision. Arteta was sent off after tackling Marouane Chamakh while he was making a run towards the Arsenal goal.

Wenger said, “I believe it was the wrong decision. It was very far from goal, he was not the last man. I think he got that wrong.”
