Erima and FC Cologne launch carnival-theme kit

It seems to be the flavour of the season to launch special costume-themed kits in Germany, then after Bayern Munich with its Oktoberfest kit, it is now turn of 2.Bundesliga league leaders FC Cologne to launch their carnival-theme kit.

And the special kit named ‘Fastelovend’ made a perfect debut as FC Cologne last night won the top of the table 2.Bundesliga clash 4-0 against 1.FC Union Berlin and opened-up a three point lead at the top.

The limited edition ’1.FC Köln Karnevaltrikot’ comes with a number of really unique elements, including the coat of arms of the city of Cologne on the front of the jersey. The jersey is divided into red and white while on the red part of the shirt the sponsor Erima is written in white, while on the white part of the carnival jerseys are special watermark of the carnival’s famous dunce cap.

The jersey has a classic red collar while the collar contains the words “Zokunf – mer spingkse wat kütt” which is the motto of the 2014 Cologne carnival and means “Future. We wait and see what happens”.

And the kit is already a big hit amongst the FC Cologne fans, who just love their club and the carnival.
