Champ of the Match: Mario Balotelli

Destroyed the game tonight, ran the show and ultimately fired Italy into the Euro 2012 final. Both goals were scored in fine fashion, with the first coming in the opening 20 minutes, peeling away from the defence, and heading home from a Cassano cross.

The second came from a brilliant piece of play from Italy, Cassano received the ball and played a long, over-head ball towards Balotelli, he touched it down and fired it into the goal in sensational fashion. Pivotal for Italy on Sunday.

Chump of the Match: Toni Kroos

Surprise inclusion into the Germany squad ahead of Reus, Muller and Schrrule. Looking back now, it seems it was a foolish decision by Joachim Low to start him ahead of the three names mentioned. Poor game, and failed to inspire Germany to victory against Italy. Proved he was too young to start, tonight.
