Sweden

Andreas Isaksson – 8/10

At times it was Isaksson standing between Sweden and defeat. Where it be Kevin de Bruyne’s shot from distance, one on one with Romelu Lukaku or Christian Benteke attempt late on, the former Manchester City man was there to stop all and sundry.

Victor Lindelof – 6.5/10

After a shaky start to the game which saw him produce a couple innocuous moments, he came into his own as time wore on.

Erik Johansson – 5/10

Was caught on the wrong side of the ball whilst trying to shadow Romelu Lukaku’s runs. Not one of his better days at the back.

Andreas Granqvist – 7/10

The best of the defenders wearing yellow on the night. Helped provide cover for his floundering partner and helped keep Lukaku off the scoresheet.

Martin Olsson – 6/10

Not the best of games and certainly another sad end to a tournament for the Norwich man who also saw his team get relegated from the Premier League earlier this year.

Albin Ekdal – 6/10

Took one for his team, when he cynically fouled Kevin de Bruyne to help stop a counter attack that looked menacing. Provided the link between the back line and the other exuberant names on the Swedish team.

Kim Kallstrom – 7/10

The former Lyon man was again his cool and composed self, providing some decent distribution from the middle of the pitch.

Sebastian Larsson – 6/10

Popped all around the pitch with adrenaline running through his veins. However, the Sunderland man failed to make any telling difference to the proceedings.

Emil Forsberg – 7/10

Was one of the most threatening players on the pitch for Sweden apart from Ibrahimovic. His attempt at goal was one of the few occasions Courtois was genuinely worried.

Marcus Berg – 6/10

Could have changed the complexion of the game had he taken his chance at the beginning of the game.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 7/10

Was the focal point once again for Sweden’s ploys going forward. However, he couldn’t inspire his team in what turned out to be his final international game.

Substitutes:

John Guidetti – 6/10

Replaced Berg at the fag end of the game, but could hardly make a difference to the proceedings.

Jimmy Durmaz – N/A

Erkan Zengin – N/A
