Adrian San Miguel - 5/10

Adrian made another mistake. He should have made a much better attempt at keeping Keane's header out, for Everton's first goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 4/10

Alexander-Arnold still looks a bit lost and rusty. He isn't getting involved in the attacking play as much as he would like. He also should have done much better to close Digne down, before he crossed for Calvert-Lewin's goal.

Joel Matip - 7/10

In his first Premier League appearance for fourth months, Matip was outstanding. He defended really well against Calvert-Lewin. The rustiness showed in some of his passing though.

Virgil van Dijk - 6/10

Liverpool will hope that Van Dijk's injury is not as serious as it seemed. It was a horrendous challenge that he was on the end of, and a curiosity that VAR didn't even check for a red card for Jordan Pickford.

Andy Robertson - 6/10

Robertson got himself another assist, by setting up Mane for Liverpool's opener. With Everton having problems down their right flank, Robertson made full use of it with constant forays forward.

Fabinho - 7/10

As the midfield anchor, Fabinho had a very good game for Liverpool. He was swift in the tackle, his intensity was excellent, and he was pretty close to James everytime the Colombian wanted to pick a pass.

Jordan Henderson - 8/10

The Liverpool captain was outstanding, and led from the front. He should have a Merseyside Derby winner next to his name, but a curious VAR call denied him that. Liverpool miss their captain when he's not around for sure.

Thiago Alcantara - 7/10

Thiago was terrific in midfield. His vision, touch and weight of pass was terrific. It was his pass to mane that was the bone of contention for the late offside call as well.

Mohamed Salah - 7/10

Salah once again had an outstanding game for Liverpool. He linked up well with the rest of the front three. His finish for his goal was one that would beat every single goalkeeper in the world. Inch-perfect.

Sadio Mane - 6/10

In his first game back after recovering from COVID-19, Mane scored really early He was also a constant menace for Godfrey and Mina, that they didn't really deal well with.

Roberto Firmino - 5/10

Firmino still needs to provide LIverpool a lot more than he is doing at the moment. His link-up play hasn't been great yet, and he really isn't getting into many goal-scoring positions either.

Substitutes

Joe Gomez - 5/10

Gomez was caught under the ball for the second Everton goal, when he really should have been running with Calvert-Lewin.

Diogo Jota - 5/10

His only real contribution in the game was when he tackled Mane while both of them went for the same ball.

Gini Wijnaldum - N/A

He came on with barely any minutes left to play in the game.
