Manchester United left-back Fabio has confessed that he will leave Manchester United if he fails to break into their first-team. Fabio’s twin Rafael has made the right back position his own at United but Fabio has not yet cemented a place for himself in the first team, Sport Witness reports.

While speaking to ESPN Braz,il Fabio said: “I don’t know, man. I think the time has come and maybe in the next window or even next season, I think I might leave. There are good possibilities.”

“I’m looking for other clubs. There’s nothing certain, we’ll leave it for later”.

“I want to be happy, man. I want to play, I want to be happy, I want to be close to my family. I may go back to Brazil, or maybe not, I’m checking with my manager to see what is the best for me.”

“The affection I have for Fluminense is very big, for sure. I played there for seven years, and certainly if I have to go back to Fluminense I’m going with great pride because I have a special affection for them”

The 23-year-old had a less than fruitful season with QPR and now faces competition from Patrice Evra and Alexander Buttner for the left-back spot at United. Fabio just made one appearance for United this season in the game against Crystal Palace.

His brother Rafael was wanted back in Brazil but the player has pledged his future to Manchester United.

Fabio’s contract with United will expire next year giving him limited time to consider his future.
