Bayern Munich to replace Carlo Ancelotti next summer

Bild has reported that the Bavarians are mulling over the idea of working a break clause in Carlo Ancelotti's contract next summer to release him from his duties. Despite winning the Bundesliga in his first attempt, Ancelotti's men struggled in the Champions League and did not even reach the final of DfB Pokal.

A failure in winning the European trophy this season will result in Bayern Munich pulling the plug on Italian's reign with Julian Nagelsmann of Hoffenheim being tipped as his successor. ESPN also claims that if sacked, Ancelotti will eye a return to the Premier League next season.

Timo Werner hails Liverpool

After being linked with a future move to the Reds, German sensation and RB Leipzig talisman, Timo Werner, has attracted attention by hailing Liverpool. He told Sportbild, "Liverpool is a big club with a great stadium and super fans."

Earlier in the year, when asked about the atmosphere at Anfield, the 21-year-old had said, "If you were to play at Anfield and hear the fans sing 'You'll Never Walk Alone,' it would certainly be something special." Werner would be a huge addition to Liverpool next season with the young striker being a perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp's philosophy.
