FC Rostov beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in Champions League

Moscow, Nov 24 (IANS) Russian football club FC Rostov defeated German champions Bayern Munich in a group stage home match of the Champions League.

Rostov scored three goals through Sardar Azmoun (44th minute), Dmitry Poloz (50th) and Christian Noboa (67th) here on Wednesday, reports Tass. Bavaria scored twice - Douglas Costa (35th minute) and Juan Bernat (52nd).

This is the first victory of FC Rostov at the group stage of the Champions League. The last time Byern missed three or more goals was on December 5, 2015 when they were defeated 1-3 by Borussia Monchengladbach.

FC Rostov earned four points and moved to the third place in the group. Bayern remains at the second spot with nine points.

FC Rostov will play their final group stage match with PSV Eindhoven on December 6. Bayern will play against Atletico on the same day.
