FIFA 15 visuals trailer dazzles

After launching the features gameplay trailer, EA Sports have now launched the official first video for visuals and it looks mind-blowing. There are many new features, at least visually, in the latest entry of the EA arsenal. The trailer starts with the promise of ‘bringing a whole new level to the visuals of the game’ and considering the graphics shown, it looks to be going in the right direction with the promise.

The very first thing shown as an improvement is the authenticity of the players’ looks and the indistinguishable faces which give you the feeling of playing with almost real-life players. The lighting sytem has been overhauled, which according to the trailer will create a more ‘true-to-life’ effect. With body rigging, the players are made to be more flexible and strong and two new body feature have been given to breathe a life into the players in the form of visible breathing and hair movement.

Not just the players but even the kits have also been changed in a major way as they will now move realistically as the player moves or runs and they will also get dirty with both-mud and grass as the match progresses.

The pitch which was lifeless in the previous editions will now be replaced with a ‘living’ pitch and slide tackle and boots will leave marks on the grass causing it to wither over time as the match goes on, like it would in a real match. The water splashing effects will be there when players play on a rainy day, which personally are my favourite matches.

Apart from this, stadiums will now have animated LED boards and a plethora of cool effects like the moving of the corner flag, ratting of the goal-frame when the ball hits it and rising of the frame when the ball hits the back of the net, will be instrumental in keeping you immersed in the visual beauty of the game, if not anything else. It’s also said in the trailer that incredible visuals are only one part of the FIFA15 story and much more is yet to be unvieled.Verdict: the trailer does look good and packs a punch, at least visually. Whether FIFA will undo the damage done to the manager mode in FIFA 14, is yet to be seen. Also, it would be interestinf to observe if FIFA pay more attention to magaer and other modes of the game instead of making just the Ultimate Team their main priority. Here are the minimum system requirements for FIFA 15.
