FIFA 17 releases in less than a month and football fans’ are getting ever so desperate to get their hands on FIFA’s latest football game. FIFA 17. The game releases in the USA on 27 September and rest of the world (including India) on 29 September.

EA has changed a lot of aspects in their latest game, with a plethora of cool features like “The Journey”, which sees a young player dream of starring in the Premier League, and the new Frostbite engine, which should lead to better graphics in the game.

Set-pieces in the game have also been revamped, and AI players will make more intelligent runs. Borussia Dortmund skipper, Marco Reus will be FIFA 17’s cover star.

Let’s take a look at the Top 10 Physical players of FIFA’s latest:


#10 Tony Tchani – Columbus Crew – 70 Overall (88 Physical)

The Columbus Crew man kicks off our list

Tony Tchani, a midfielder from Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew kicks off our top 10 list. The Cameroonian footballer has a physical rating of 88, with an overall rating of 70.

He started his professional footballing career with New York Red Bulls, followed by Toronto FC before finally moving to his current club in 2011.

Tchani plays in a midfield role, and his physical presence on and off the ball makes him a threat from the center of the park. He also plays box to box, assisting the back 4 and creating chances for the forwards.

The 27-year old has scored 5 goals in his MLS career. Columbus Crew had a disappointing outing last season, finishing last in the Eastern Conference of the league. Tchani will have to step up, along with the rest of the team to at least make the playoffs.

#9 Nemanja Matic – Chelsea – 84 Overall (88 Physical)

Nemanja Matic is at #9

The Chelsea midfielder is a powerhouse in midfield with a physical attribute of 88, and an overall rating of 84 in the Fifa 17 game. Matic is very strong on the ball, and along with Fabregas in midfield, the Serbian played an important role in Chelsea’s EPL 2014-15 triumph.

Matic was bought by Chelsea in 2013 for £21 million, before previously letting him leave for Benfica. He made his Chelsea debut in 2009, but never managed to earn a first-team place.

Early in the summer transfer window, the Serbian was strongly linked to a reunion with Jose Mourinho, but the move never went through. He remains a part of Chelsea’s first-team and has played in all of Chelsea’s matches so far this season.

#8 Islam Slimani – Leicester City – 83 Overall (88 Physical)

The English champions’ new recruit has an overall of 83, and a physical rating of 88. Slimani was brought in from Portuguese side, Sporting CP, despite their efforts to hold on to the player. Slimani will reunite with Riyad Mahrez at King Power Stadium, with whom he’s played international football for Algeria.

Slimani is a striker, and his physical presence gives him an edge over opposition defenders, especially with aerial balls. His physicality makes it easier for him to nudge off defenders and he proved his class by scoring 31 goals in 44 matches last season.

Slimani can prove to be an excellent buy for Leicester City if he can recreate his form of last season, and along with Vardy, the defending champs will have a strong attacking force this season.

#7 Diego Costa – Chelsea – 85 Overall (88 Physical)

Diego Costa is certainly an intimidating prospect for the opposition

The man, who is known more for his brawls and temper as much as goal-scoring, Diego Costa is No. 7 on our list.

Costa has a habit of losing his temper too easily, and that combined with immense strength makes him a daunting prospect for anyone who gets in his way.

Costa was a goal-scoring machine back in his Atletico Madrid days and even in his debut Premier League season. The Spanish international can hold up play, physically outmuscle and bully defenders, and has a keen eye for the goal.

#6 Anderson Esiti – K.A.A Gent – 75 Overall (89 Physical)

Esiti is a solid presence in midfield

The Gent man makes it to the list, with a physical rating of 89 and an overall of 89. The 22-year old recently joined Gent from Portuguese club, Estoril. Anderson had a good outing last season, making 43 appearances from his defensive midfield role.

The Nigerian is very strong and his physicality in the center of the park proves to be a stumbling block for oppositions. He provides cover to the back four and also fills out the role of a central defender when needed.

Esiti will be an exciting prospect for the Belgian club, and good performances on the European stage will certainly push him into the spotlight.

#5 Jelle Van Damme – L.A. Galaxy – 77 Overall (89 Physical)

Jelle Van Damme recently signed for L.A. Galaxy

The Belgian international recently moved to MLS side, L.A. Galaxy, after spending 5 seasons at Belgian club, Standard Liege. Damme is a very strong, and this has been recognised by EA, earning him a rating of 89 for his physical strength, and an overall rating of 77.

L.A. Galaxy is the Belgian’s 8th club in 15 years of his professional career, which include English clubs with Wolves and Southampton, Dutch champions Ajax and Werder Bremen.

The Belgian will be a solid buy at the back for the side from L.A., and along with Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard, L.A. Galaxy will be one of the favorites to become America’s best.

#4 Victor Wanyama – Tottenham Hotspur – 78 Overall (89 Physical)

Wanyama can prove to be a valuable buy for Spurs

Wanyama recently moved to White Hart Lane, after a very good season last year with Southampton.

The Kenyan is an absolute beast in the middle of the park and is effective at winning balls back time and again. He is also a huge threat going forward, creating good chances for the forwards and can hit shots with venom from distance.

Wanyama was one of the best players for the Saints last year and played a vital role in their strong finish last season.

He moved to Spurs this transfer window for £11 million after spending 3 years with the Saints’. He made 92 appearances and scored 4 goals during his stay at St. Mary’s.

Wanyama has had a perfect start to his Spurs career, already establishing himself as a first-team name, and scored a goal on his home debut against Crystal Palace, in a 1-0 win. The 25-year old will be crucial to Spurs’ English and European challenge.

#3 Callum Paterson – Hearts – 68 Overall (90 Physical)

The Scottish finds himself in the Top 3

The young Scotsman makes it to the Top 3 of our list, with a physical strength rating of 90 and overall rating of 68. Paterson graduated from Hearts’ academy and stayed on to play for the senior team, of which he’s an important player.

Paterson made his debut when he was just 17 years old and has since made 121 appearances for the club. Playing as a striker, he has 27 goals to his name in his career, and the young player can also play as a right-back.

Impressive performances has earned him a call-up to the national team and an international debut against Italy.

#2 Cheikh N’Doye – Angers SCO – 77 Overall (90 Physical)

Cheikh N’Doye is at #2

The midfield general from Senegal plays in Ligue 1 is second in the list, with a rating of 90 for physical strength and an overall rating of 77. The Senegalese international plays in a midfield role and uses his physical strength to good use while holding off opponents.

N’Doye has 7 goals in just 20 appearances for the French side and is a very useful squad player.

He kicked off his career at French side, Epinal in 2009, before moving to Creteil, where he was really impressive, scoring 32 goals during his stay.

#1 Marouane Fellaini – Manchester United – 78 Overall (90 Physical)

The Manchester United man is at top of the list

The United man is at the top of our list with a very strong physical rating of 90, and an overall of 78. The much-criticised Belgian joined United, and though a lot was expected from him, he fell short of all expectations.

Manchester United faltered time and again, and Fellaini became the scapegoat of the team, along with his former Everton manager. When Moyes left, it was certain Fellaini will be shown the door under LVG.

However, the tall and strong midfielder worked hard and made himself a regular starter under the Dutchman.

His physicality and aerial ability is a huge threat for the oppositions, as most of United’s long balls are directed towards him. He also has the ability to control the ball well under pressure and has a knack for scoring goals.
