This is another record held by Cristiano Ronaldo which looks set to be broken by yet another Real Madrid player. With seven goals from eight appearances, Cristiano Ronaldo currently tops the all-time top scorer chart. Gareth Bale needs only one goal to match the stat, with already six goals from five matches.
Having played fewer matches than Ronaldo, equalling the goal tally will technically place him top in the list. He can even own the list as he will certainly fancy a brace against an opponent who is no match to his calibre.
A brace will also see him joining another list of most goals in a single championship. Currently, Suarez holds the record for most goals in a single campaign with five goals that he scored for Barcelona. This could be the occasion where Bale finally starts to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo.
