Genoa CFC v ACF Fiorentina - Serie A

GENOA, ITALY – NOVEMBER 01: Stevan Jovetic of ACF Fiorentina during the Serie A match between Genoa CFC and ACF Fiorentina at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on November 1, 2012 in Genoa, Italy.

Rome, Nov 2 – Fiorentina chalked up their first win in 30 years at Genoa with a 1-0 win in Italian Serie A football.

Manuel Pasqual scored the only goal Thursday to award the visitors their first away win this season as they moved up to fifth in Serie A, reports Xinhua.

Pasqual’s 14th-minute strike gave the visitors a lead they never surrendered in a fiery clash that saw eight players booked.

Genoa’s recent woes show no sign of ending, however, as they slumped to their third successive defeat.

Luigi Del Neri has failed to deliver a point since taking charge of Genoa 11 days ago and will be champing at the bit to have star striker Marco Borriello back.
