#4 Standard of the signings?

Fabio Borini's signing for Milan took many by surprise

The club may have brought in good players, but bringing in just 'good' players won't necessarily lead to title triumphs. The quality of those signings matters more than their number. It could be a classic example of preferring quality over quantity.

Fabio Borini, who happens to be a flop at both Liverpool and Sunderland, saw David Moyes' men drop into the Championship after finishing rock bottom in the Premier League. The Italian was never a regular for the Reds and has hardly been an important player too at Wearside as well. And it came as a surprise when Milan bought him in from the North of England.

Apart from Borini, most of the signings have been very good, Leo Bonucci specifically, but one is likely to have strong doubts about whether they are good enough to challenge for the title.
