A football fan in Brazil lost his life after he was hit by a toilet bowl thrown towards him from the stands during Santa Cruz’s 1-1 draw with Parana.

According to a report by the Guardian, a riot broke down outside the Arruda stadium and fans started to rip toilet bowls to use them to hit rival supporters on the streets below. Amidst all the chaos, a supporter found himself stuck in front of a big fight in front of a gate.

“In front of Gate 6 there was a big fight that resulted in the death of the fan,” police captain Wilson Queiroz told reporters. “The toilet was thrown from the stands and hit him full on. “The victim was with someone at the time but everyone fled the scene after the incident.”

Brazil are hosting the upcoming FIFA 2014 World Cup scheduled to start on 12 June, however, incidents like these raise a question whether the nation is ready to host the tournament or not.
