Footballer sprints faster than Usain Bolt
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the new Borussia Dortmund signing, has wasted no time in impressing his team management after sprinting at a speed faster than what Usain Bolt recorded.
Aubameyang ran 30 meters in 3.7 seconds at the Dortmund’s pre-season training camp at Bad Ragaz in Switzerland. His timing was almost a second faster than what the Jamaican recorded in his record-breaking run at Berlin in 2009.
“Pierre is surely one of the fastest players who has ever played here,” says Michael Zorc, Dortmund sporting director.
Legendary coach Otto Pfister, knowing Aubameyang throughout his career, warns Bundesliga to be wary of the threat this Gabon international can prove to be next season.
“Aubameyang will be fatal to the Bundesliga – but only to his opponents,” he added. “I’ve never seen a player so explosive as he.”
BVB got Aubameyang in a reported €13 million deal from Saint-Etienne. The 24-year-old made his first appearance for Borussia Dortmund in a 3-1 win over Basel on Wednesday.
