Former Barcelona and Porto playmaker Deco has revealed which three footballers and why, would together make the perfect player. The Portuguese has had his fair share of success during his time with Barcelona and Porto.

Deco was asked which three players would make the perfect footballer and he ahs named two of Barcelona’s former teammates in those three. Deco has a lot of experience in winning competitions at the top level and knows how to pick the right players.

The first player he picked was Andres Iniesta. The Spaniard succeeded Deco as Barcelona's creator in chief after the latter left for Chelsea. Since his departure, Barcelona have gone on to achieve immense success and Iniesta has been a key part of their midfield. Deco says he would choose Iniesta as the footballing mind for his creation.

His next choice was the current best player in the world Lionel Messi.It wasn’t a surprising choice considering what the little Argentine has achieved so far. The talisman of the Barcelona team the 28-year-old has won the Historic treble twice already in his career.

Messi is also the first player to win 5 Ballon d’ Ors with other legends of the game only managing three. He alongside Neymar and USarez have fomed one of th deadliest attacking trios’ in the history of the game. Deco has chosen Messi for his quality.

And finally, the only player left to be part of his perfect footballer was another of his old teammates but not from Barcelona. Deco has chose his former Countryman Cristiano Ronaldo as the final piece of th puzzle.

Ronaldo has also been one the best players on the planet alongside Messi in the last 8 years. The three-time Ballon d’ Or winner has been a figure of consistency, breaking new records season after season. And Deco want’s Ronaldo for his power as one of the qualities of the footballer.

Deco won the Champions League with the Catalan club in 2006 beating Arsenal 2-1 in the final. He was named as UEFA’s best midfielder that year and also helped Barcelona win the La Liga title that season. The other time he won the Champions League was with Porto in 2004 under Jose Mourinho.

When asked in an exclusive interview with Squawka.com who he would choose for the perfect footballer he said, “A mix of Cristiano, Messi and Iniesta.“The mind of Iniesta. The quality of Leo. The power of Cristiano.”
