Former Newcastle and Sunderland striker Michael Chopra expresses desire to play in the I-League

Rocky Michael Chopra, who has previously played for Newcastle United, Sunderland, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town, has expressed his desire to play in the Indian I-League.

Chopra, aged 30, has parents of Indian origin and is currently a free agent after being released by Blackpool, and is in pursuit of a new club now.

Taking to twitter, he tweeted to Indian national team skipper and Bengaluru FC forward Sunil Chettri:

Chopra is known for scoring the fastest goal by a substitute in Premier League history, when he tapped in a goal against Newcastle after being on the pitch for 15 seconds.

He has represented England at the Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels.
