After the Champions league match that saw Arsenal take on Bayern Munich, Franck Ribery expressed how shockingly easy it was to beat the English side.
Ribery and his team mates dominated the match and ended the night with an amazing 1-3 win, thus making their job at the Allianz Arena on March 13 all the more easier. However, the French international did not think that his side would be able to beat Arsenal so easily.
Ribery said “We didn’t think it would be so easy.We know Arsenal are having some problems in the league, maybe they are lacking in confidence.”
Although shocked by the Gunners performance, the Frenchman was still glad to have come out with a crucial win. He said “But we feel good and we’re delighted to have got that result. We’re all working hard together, with the will to play well, to win, to defend together. It’s important to carry on like this.”
Regarding the second leg match which will be held on March 13, he said “We will have to match that performance in the return leg. We’re in good shape to reach the quarter-finals but nothing is ever over in football.”
