Fulham 2-1 Arsenal: Arsenal player ratings

Abhinav

Zamora after scoring the winner.

Ad

Szczesny - 6Was at fault for the equalizer and could have reacted faster to Zamora’s winner, but otherwise it was a solid game from the young keeper who was exposed due to his defenders – made a really good save from Ruiz too.

Djourou - 5Good first half, but booked for a silly tackle and then sent off for a debatable tackle on Zamora which proved to be the turning point of the game.

Ad

Mertesacker - 4He may be 6 ’6, but Mertesacker has proven to be an aerial liability and was at fault for Djourou’s sending off after he failed to control the ball – his usual calmness and reading of the game went missing.

Koscielny - 6.5Brilliant performance by the ever improving Frenchman who scored his first goal of the season as well with a well powered header. However, he was ball-watching when Sidwell equalized for Fulham.

Ad

Coquelin7Brilliant game from the young Frenchman who is proving to be Arsenal‘s “Mr. Utility” after playing as a defensive midfielder, right-back and today, a left back. Strong, quick and powerful.

Arteta4.5The usually consistent Spaniard was completely anonymous and had one of his worst games in an Arsenal jersey.

Ramsey6Very strong first half from the Welshman with a delightful assist for Koscielny’s goal – however, signs of tiredness and overworked legs were visible as his performance deteriorated in the second half.

Song - 5.5Had a decent first half but looked very uncomfortable in the second half – tired legs?

Gervinho - 5As usual, brilliant approach play by the Ivorian but dreadful end product – had many chances to help Arsenal get the killer goal but it wasn’t to be.

Walcott - 3You’d think after reportedly asking for a salary of £85,000 per week, Walcott would atleast perform according to his desired wages but it wasn’t to be – an even worse end product than Gervinho and it was visible how he was losing confidence in his final ball. A truly horrible game from the Englishman.

Ad

van Persie - 5.5Should have been rested – barely got a sniff of the ball and whenever he did, was fouled and no decision went his way. He did, however, show his skill on various occasions in the game.

Substitutes:

Rosicky – 5.5

Benayoun – 5.5

Squillaci – 4
