Garcia blames inefficiency on Roma's loss to Juventus

Milan, Jan 6 (IANS) Roma head coach Rudi Garcia said his side were not as efficient as Juventus in attack when they lost 0-3 to the Serie A leaders.

Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic scored for the hosts Sunday, who ended Roma’s unbeaten run. Garcia said his players performed well but lacked attacking efficiency, reports Xinhua.

“In my view it is a problem of efficiency. Neither side had that many chances so you’ve got to take them when they arrive. We know this is football and Juve have a ruthless team, so we must learn to be ruthless too,” he said.

“I have no doubt that in the first half we played the right game. In order to win you also need luck in important moments and tonight the luck was more with Juventus than with us.”

The French tactician felt sad to see his side reduced to nine men in the second half after Daniele De Rossi and Leandro Castan were sent off.

“I don’t know if this was the worst way to lose our unbeaten record but it is bad to end with nine men,” Garcia said.
