Gareth Bale cuts 'holes in his socks' to prevent injuries

Gareth Bale made his comeback this weekend against Celta Vigo

Real Madrid superstar, Gareth Bale, has revealed that he cuts holes in his socks because he's sick of getting the same injury again and again. The Welshman has suffered multiple injuries to his soleus muscles on both his legs and by cutting holes in his socks, is able to 'release' them thereby releaving them of the stresses of continous action.

When AS.com contacted multiple doctors asking whether these holes would help Bale get over the injuries, they all said holes were only a psychological excuse for his injury troubles. The socks that footballers use these days are designed to grip on tightly to the leg helping in multiple ways.

The biggest advantage these socks give you is the improvement of blood circulation by gripping on that little extra near the ankle and achilles. Apart from this, the socks helps in avoiding aches, cramps and bruising.

Irrespective of what is causing Bale the injury, he made his comeback against Celta Vigo even getting on the scoresheet with manager, Zinedine Zidane, even confirming that he'll be ready to take on AS Roma in the Champions League – where they already have a 2-0 lead over the Italians.

Speaking on his comeback, Bale said, “It’s been nice to come back, the last five or six weeks were frustrating”.

No Lamborghinis for Gareth Bale

Earlier this season, Gareth Bale, dumped the use of certain supercars he'd often borrown from Auto Vivendi Super Car Club – who rent out high-end supercars for people to use within the UK including the likes of Ferraris, Lamborghini, Maseratis and more.

Bale cancelled the contract with the car club citing that the Lamborghinis "played havoc with his hamstrings" and has since resorted to a no-Lamborghini policy.
