VIDEO: Gerard Pique kicks football at Shakira's face at home

Gerard Pique appears to light-heartedly kick a football on Shakira's face while the two of them were at home.

Shakira (L) is subject to some friendly fire from boyfriend, Gerard Pique

Colombian pop star Shakira – also the girlfriend of Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique – has posted a video on Twitter that shows her partner lovingly kicking a football at her face.

The Spanish defender is seen calling his wife out from a room she's sitting at and kicking the ball at her twice. The first time, it misses her by an inch or and hits the wall but the second time, he lobs the ball and smacks the singer's face.

The video, however, is posted in a light-hearted manner rather than it actually being a complaint. The couple are known to be extremely fond of each other and only recently announced the birth of their second child.

The two of them have been dating since 2010 when Pique first met Shakira while filming the 2010 official World Cup song, 'Waka Waka' (This time for Africa), and have had two sons – Milan and Sasha. However, Shakira has said in multiple interviews that she doesn't see them getting married anytime soon.

Season to start tonight

With Barcelona taking on Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup tonight, held at Tbilisi, Pique and Barcelona's season is set to to begin with expectations high on them defending the treble.

The Catalans are still en route to secure the sextuple and it looks like Pique – who insists that he's ending his career at Camp Nou – and his teammates are fully focused on the season ahead. Barcelona visit Athletic Bilbao on the opening weekend of La Liga on 23rd Aug by which time, hopefully, they'd have won the Super Cup this time around.

Barcelona lost the UEFA Super Cup to tonight's opposition, Sevilla, back in 2006 – with the match held in Stade Louis II in Monaco – with the final scoreline 3-0 and will be hopeful they're able to win the fixture this time around.
