Germany U21 and Slovenia U21 will battle for three points in the 2025 UEFA Euro U-21 Championship on Thursday, June 12. The game will be played at Stadion Pod Zoborom.
The Germans have not been in action since claiming a 3-1 victory over Spain in a friendly in March 2025. They went ahead through Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade's third-minute strike while Gabri Veiga equalized in the 19th minute. Woltemade completed his hat-trick with a second-half brace.
Slovenia, meanwhile, came back from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw in a friendly with Slovakia last week. Adam Obert and Timotej Jambor scored to put the Slovaks two goals up by the 69th minute. Jost Pisek halved the deficit with 12 minutes left in regulation time while Dino Kojic equalized in injury time.

Slovenia booked their spot in the 2025 UEFA Euro Under-21 as their group winners in the Qualifiers, finishing with 17 points from eight games. Germany also finished top of their group with 26 points from 10 games.

Slovenia are more modest, with this being only their second appearance. Their first appearance came as hosts in 2021 when they finished bottom of their group and they will be seeking their first Euro Under-21 win. The Eastern Europeans are the underdogs here but impressively finished above France in the Qualifiers.
