Republic of Ireland registered an emphatic 7-0 victory over Gibraltar in the Group D European Championship qualifiers in Dublin on Saturday.
Veteran forward Robbie Keane scored a hat-trick for his nation while James McClean grabbed a brace and Wes Hoolalan also found the net. Keane became the all-time top scorer in qualifying with 21 goals and the first man to claim three international hat-tricks for Ireland.
With his early strikes, Ireland began to dominate the match and increased their lead further before the Gibraltar goalkeeper let in an own goal which rebounded thrice as a comedy of errors increased his misery on the night.
