Paris, Oct 6 (IANS) President of the French Football Federation (FFF) Noel Le Graet has praised Atletico Madrid's forward Antoine Griezmann, noting that his countryman is getting very close to winning the Ballon d'Or, despite admitting that Argentina's Lionel Messi and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo are the favourites to win the prestigious award.
In an interview published by Le Figaro On Thursday, Le Graet said that Griezmann is exceptional, whether with Atletico Madrid or among the ranks of the France national team, and highlighted how the player gained unexpected popularity among the fans,reports Efe.
Le Graet further said that the striker has recently become a symbol of the French football.
He also underlined that Greizmann is a hard-working forward who is loved by almost everyone, and stressed that the success he managed to achieve will not change his humble nature.
