Some call it hoodoo, some call it sorcery, while the others just call it bad luck, but no one actually knows the reason behind this goal drought that haunts Harry Kane every year. His statistics in the month of August are unreal considering the fact that he is a world class striker and is surrounded by a quality squad.

Harry Kane is one of the most consistent strikers in the Premier League, and is regarded as the best striker in the country. With 125 goals and 22 assists in 181 appearances in the League and the captain's armband for his country, his stats and skills speak for himself and reflect what a complete striker he is. All these badges of honor, however, go right out of the window when he steps onto the pitch on a warm bright day in August. It is almost as if he forgets to wear his shooting boots or that he has a brilliant team behind him, and seems completely out of touch looking like a quirky youngster who's trying to find his way into football life somehow. The facts and statistics must be a nightmare for our hero who falls like a fallen soldier during the season of fall.

Harry Kane's statistics in August:

Games: 15

Minutes Played: 1078

Shots: 49

Goals: 1

Although he managed to score his first ever goal for the month of August in the Premier League against Fulham in the 15th match, he surely had to wait for quite some time. That long wait saw him go over 1000 minutes of football without scoring a goal in the month accumulating every season. It is incredible how a footballer of his calibre can get beaten by just collective dates in a calendar.

This whole situation has left people asking questions and commenting over it; some of the comments were filthy while some of them were of dismal, people asking questions like 'Kane vs August, you're on which side?'. This hoodoo seems never-ending and people really are enjoying it except, of course, the Spurs' fans.

This situation gets even worse when you realize the quality that is backing Kane in the form of one of the most talented and gifted midfielders in the league Christian Eriksen and Delle Alli. It will interesting to see how the mercurial Englishman performs in his not-so-favorite month: August.
