Harry Redknapp appointed new QPR manager

Harry Redknapp has been appointed the new Queens Park Rangers boss just ahead of their trip to Old Trafford later today. QPR are at the bottom of the table and it’s a huge onus on the former Tottenham Hotspur manager to change the fortunes at Loftus Road.

The club also announced that the 65-year-old has penned the deal for two-and-half years and will watch the Rangers against the Red Devils from the stands at Old Trafford.

Here is the tweet from the official QPR account on Twitter:

Here’s what Harry Redknapp had to say about his appointment:

“I’m delighted to be back in the managerial hot-seat at QPR.
“When I spoke to the shareholders and they told me about their plans I knew this was too good an opportunity to turn down.
“There’s no doubt there’s a lot of ability in the squad, but for one reason or another things haven’t gone as well as everyone expected since the start of the season.
“I can’t wait to get to work and get the results necessary to kick-start our season.”
