QPR boss Harry Redknapp is resigned to losing his star striker Loic Remy and admitted that the Frenchman could leave the club for £8 million.

The 27-year-old, who has impressed on loan with Newcastle this season, has gained the interest of Arsenal and Liverpool who could launch bids for him as soon as the transfer window opens.

The France international joined QPR for £8 million in the winter transfer window of 2013 but left for Newcastle United on loan after the London club were relegated to the Championship.

QPR returned to the Premier League after they defeated Derby County 1-0 on Saturday, but Redknapp has lost hope of retaining Remy for the 2014-2015 season.

“I don't see (Loic) Remy wanting to come back and play,' said the manager

“He's talking about playing Champions League somewhere.

“I wouldn't know what he'll do, but I think he's got a buy-out clause which is at a reasonable level.

“Not much more than we paid for him.”

Remy scored 6 goals in 14 appearances during his time at Loftus Road.
