If Leo Messi hadn't overtaken him, Cesar Rodriguez would have held the highest goalscorer record for well over 60 years! Nicknamed Wigman for his baldness, Rodriguez was a key member of the Barca side that drove the club to great domestic heights.

Spending a total of 14 years at the club, Rodriguez won five league titles, picking up back-to-back titles twice. His goalscoring also aided Barca in adding an extra eight trophies to their collection during the same time period.

Famous for his headers and dangerous presence in the box, Rodriguez was a real legend in every sense of the word. He was one of Barca's first real maestros on the ball, and his seemingly effortless skill in front of goal would remain unparalleled until the Messi era.

Striker: Luis Suarez - 198 goals

Although he left the club under sad and unceremonious circumstances, Suarez remains one of the best players to have stepped foot on the Camp Nou grounds. Since making his debut since leaving Liverpool in 2014, the star has appeared in 283 games for Barcelona.

Before his exit last season, Suarez overtook Ladislau Kubala's 195 goals to become the third-highest goalscorer on Barcelona's all-time list. He eventually finished with 198 goals, thanks to the brilliant synergy he formed on the pitch with Messi and Neymar.

Marked with determination, ambition and a brilliant eye for goal, Suarez ended his Barcelona career with a spectacular 15 trophies. He also picked up a Golden Boot and a Pichichi trophy during his six seasons with the club.

Barca's rarest gem in the last generation came in the form of the Argentine magician Leo Messi. His exit from Barcelona before the start of this season is perhaps one of the most controversial topics of discussion in world football. However, controversies aside, Messi is the best player to have ever played at the Camp Nou.

Known for his playmaking qualities, his acute vision, sublime dribbling and a sharpshooter's eye for goal, Messi scored a record-breaking 672 goals for Blaugrana in just 778 matches. His most notable goalscoring season was 2011-12 when he managed a record-breaking 73 goals in just 60 games.

Messi's honors with Barcelona include over 25 domestic trophies and 10 continental trophies. He has also won the Golden Boot and the Pichichi a combined 14 times. Although he now plays for Paris-Saint Germain, Leo Messi will always be in the hearts of Cules as the best ever player in Barca's history.
