Paco Gento is the most decorated player in La Liga history. He has won a record 12 titles in the competition — all with Real Madrid — two more than that of any other player.

Los Blancos legend played over 400 La Liga games. He won 23 titles at the club, one more than a certain Sergio Ramos. Gento failed to score in only two of his 19-season La Liga tenure.

The six-time European Champions Clubs' Cup winner enjoyed his most prolific La Liga campaign in 1959-60, scoring 14 goals. Unfortunately, Real Madrid were pipped to the La Liga title by Barcelona that year.

Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the best players to have graced the game. He has racked up over 300 goals and nearly 100 assists in the competition during a prolific nine-season stint. Although he started out as winger, Ronaldo has scored goals aplenty as a centre-forward.

The two-time La Liga winner is one of only two players to score over 300 goals and register three 40-goal campaigns in the competition. Ronaldo scored his 300th La Liga goal in just 286 games, making him the quickest player to reach the milestone.

Ronaldo holds a plethora of scoring records, standalone or shared, in La Liga. In 2010-11, he became the first player to breach the 40-goal mark in a La Liga campaign. He is the only player in competition history to score at least 30 goals in six consecutive seasons.

The Manchester United striker has scored 34 La Liga hat-tricks - second-most in the competition's history. Ronaldo's most prolific La Liga campaign was in 2014-15, when he scored a staggering 48 times and also registered 17 assists. But Real Madrid finished two points adrift of Barcelona in a riveting title race.
