Liverpool players celebrate a goal against QPR

Liverpool managed to stay within the top half of the Premier League thanks to a crazy seven minute ending to a match in which they were generally outplayed by bottom ranked QPR.

Leading the match 1-0 thanks to a 67th minute own goal by Richard Dunne, who incidentally became the first player to reach double figures in the own goals tally, Liverpool were given a shock by a good Eduardo Vargas strike. What followed was madness. 3 more goals were scored in a reminiscent of a basketball match with momentum shifting to and fro with every kick of the ball. Vargas scored another to equalise after Countinho’s smart finish had put the visitors ahead again. The match was capped off with an own goal by Steven Caulker. One which would make even Dunne proud. Mario Balotelli’s goal tally for Liverpool in the Premier League stayed at zero.
