Isco celebrates after scoring the opening goal for Real Madrid

Coming off from a mortifying 0-4 defeat to rivals Atletico Madrid, it might take some time for the morale to be back to normal again for the Real Madrid players, but that didn’t stop them from taking all the three points at home with a satisfying 2-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

Isco gave the Whites the lead with a profound goal as he produced it from 18-yards-out following an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 22nd minute.

The lead would be doubled in the second half by Madrid striker Karim Benzema as he scored his 18th of the season. It was Ronaldo yet again whose pass led to the goal as the French striker was successful in beating Deportivo keeper Fabri to slot the ball into the net.

Real Madrid 1-0 Deportivo (Isco – 22’)

Real Madrid 2-0 Deportivo (Benzema – 77’)

Ronaldo may not have been unsuccessful in getting a goal for himself, but his skills were here in full show as he pulled off a brilliant elastico nutmueg – pretty nostalgic to see him back to his old business.
