Hiroshi Kiyotake scores 10 seconds into the 2nd half!

You’ll always hear managers talking about having a good start to the game, about how the first goal is important, and how the first 10 minutes of the second half are crucial for the half-time team talk to take shape.

Nurnberg couldn’t have hoped for a better start this weekend against Braunschweig. The game got off to a poor start for the home side (Nurnberg) as Per Nilsson was sent off in the 32nd minute after receiving a straight red; just two minutes later Domi Kumbela gave Braunschweig the lead and that’s how it finished at half-time.

Nurnberg needed a response, and they got one immediately after the restart. Japanese international, Hiroshi Kiyotake struck just 10 second into the second half, right from the kick off. Quite incredibly, a minute later Tomas Pekhart gave Nurnberg the lead as 10-man Nurnberg got a vital 2-1 victory to steer clear from the relegation zone.

Here is Hiroshi Kiyotake’s quick-fire goal below. Enjoy!
