Forward Brett Holman is set to leave Aston Villa with United Arab Emirates club Al Nasr agreeing a deal for the Australian international.

The English Premier League side said on its website Friday that Holman, 29, will depart for Dubai just 12 months after joining from Holland’s AZ Alkmaar.

Holman, who was in the starting 11 for Australia when they qualified for the World Cup finals by beating Iraq on Tuesday, was signed by Alex McLeish at Aston Villa just before Paul Lambert took charge.

Despite Lambert not signing him, he started 16 games last season before losing his place.
